The next day went rather oddly. Red Exe soon learned that many more packs were already here. He ended up fighting on his sq. mile of territory. oh well. There are also many other lone wolves out here. He ended the day by catching a fawn and caching it near the den.

The day had been tiring. She hadn't realized that packs were moving in to the valley for the elk. Loners as well. It's hard to get food while dogding others wolves who are wanting what you've got. She finally gave up and was going to her small, reclusive cave when she spotted a familiar body taking meat to his den. Her stomah growled, but she ignored it. She felt a litle bad for attacking him, but he startled her, and instinct kicked in. She thought, 'Should I go say sorry?', but her other half lept going,' No, He scared You!'. She had this miny fued before taking the first choice. She started to follow him to wherever he was going. The fawn he was carrieng was larger than he, and he was stumbling. She came up behind him on silent paws before catching him off gaurd by picking up a legs and started helping him.

THIS left him dumbfounded. She tried to kill him and she's helping him all of a sudden. He paid no attention to it, and graciously accepted the helping hand. When the job was done, Red Exe asked "I must have startled you that day, didn't I? I'm very sorry about that," and finished with a "thanks".

"I-It's fine. Really." she stuttered, not expecting him to tell her that. She then looked around at where they, taking in the dismal whole they where sitting in. "Nice place." she said in an awed voice, tossing her overgrown bangs to sit better over her right eye.

Boredom quickly embedded into Red Exe as the next few hours passed uneventfully, when some coyotes began to trespass on the sq. mile of marked territory. The coyotes, three of them, locked eyes with the two massive dogs. "It's fight or flight here, and I ain't got wings, so we're fightin'."

She followed his lead as they went toward the coyotes quickly, catching up to them in fast bolts of speed. She didn't know the name of the wolf with her, but she had taken a liking to the male. Sunrays hit her black fur, giving off the blue tint in her fur. Raven jumped at the first coyote, knocking it down before tearing out it's throat in one clean move. She looked at Red Exe to see his condition...

he was in a staredown with the other two, and like the wolf attack from sunburns ago, he was the first to pounce, purposely straight over the two, U-turns and headbutts one coyote in the head, sending enough force to knock him out cold. Red Exe was dizzied by the stunning blow he gave to the coyote.....

She saw the last coyote jump at the male wolf, Trying to get at his throat. She lept at it, grabbing it by the scruff and ramming it's head into the rock wall. it fell unconcious, but that didn't stop her from killing it. Her fangs wrapped around his neck, tearing into it. The blood was exillerating nonetheless.

As the other wolf quickly dispatched the coyote, Red Exe did not hesitate to kill the other. After putting the coyotes to rest Red Exe introduced himself....

"Hi, I'm Red Exe." he said to her, walking toward her with caution visible in her steps. "Ravenfeather, but you may call me Raven." She said looking up at the face, up beause she was still crouched over the body of the coyote.

as the day progressed, Red Exe and his newly found companion, Ravenfeather, caught a few more elk and split the share 50-50. At the end of the day the two said their farewells and went to their respective territories.

She ate well that night in her little hole for one. She kept thinking of Red Exe and how small he was. 'Why is a small pup like that down in the valley by himself? He looks only ten sunburns.' she thought, propping her head on one paw. He shouldn't have been able to do those fighting movements either. 'I'll talk to him later.' she mused to herself as she curled up for sleep. Footsteps could be heard outside her den moments after she fell into a light sleep.

as Red Exe went to greet his new friend in the morning when she was sure to be awake, she was missing..... quite a tragedy, Red Exe thought, and much more a catastrophy, for other wolf scents could be smelled from right there. He followed them to find what happened....
It's him....... He could tell by the scars........
The one who survived of the two who killed his brother and almost killed his mother and sister. The one he clamped the muzzle of shut...
FlareEater was his name. He was 4 years old, and the alpha male of his pack of 5, and Raven lay unconscious behind him.... There were no females in the pack, so Red Exe new exactly what he intended to do with Raven........
Force-breed...........
He couldn't let this happen, for force-breeding is cruel, and could scar a wolf's life. Again, he was first to pounce, and the wolf dodge and caught his back just like those many sunburns ago. Red Exe rammed FlareEater in the chest and sent him flying and then woke up Raven and told her the predicament. Not a moment too soon, FlareEater's pack had arrived.....

She heard a voice. It was a familiar voice, but she couldn't put a paw on who. She lifted herself up and saw Exe standing above her, telling her why and what was going on. Cuss words spewed from her muzzle as she sat up quickly, looking at the wolves that surrounded her. How dare they drag her from her temporary home. She jumped at the closest wolf that wasn't Exe, grabbing his throat and jerking, twisting, tearing at it.

Red Exe used his blinding fast speed to scratch each wolf in the eye that wasn't FlareEater or the one Raven was practically going cannibal on, which left them to writhe in pain for the time. FlareEater attempted to pounce over Red Exe to Raven, but was ripped out of the aerial direction he was going and slammed to the ground.
Exe caught FlareEater byt the hindguarters...
very huge they were, popping Exe's jaw out of place, but most definitely streaming pain into the savage beast lying on the ground before him. Red Exe wasted no time to relocate his jaw and finish him off....
.....He scratched the trademarked X into his eyes.....
the others still standing of the wolf pack begged for mercy, and Red Exe gave them two options......
allies or die......
normally he prays when he preys, but this time, it was appropriate to pray when he had accomplished his life goal..... To take down the s.o.b. who took down his family.....
