Seraph walked along the riverbed, tired and hungry. She settled down infront of the water and lapped it up. She didn't want to meet all her new packmates just yet... She hoped to get a bit of peace and quiet first.

She stood up. A red butterfly darted in front of her. She batted at it with one paw halfheartedly. She sighed. "How will me being in a pack help me?" she thought. It was possible that the other wolves just didnt like her and kicked her out! "But, there would be company for me... And I'd enjoy it but noone has to know THAT! And also the possibility of a mate..." her heart tightened in her chesr as she thought about it. All of a sudden she shook her head, trying to get rid of the fantasies that were clouding her mind. When she pushed her feelings away, it hurt, but she knew it would hurt a lot worse if she had a mate and pups and they DIED. Seraph flinched at the thought. With a sigh, she padded over to a tree and curled up underneath it.

It was night. Seraph looked up to see the full moon gleaming down strongly on her. "No dought the pack is howling together" she thought a bit wistfully. Sure enoughm she could hear howls coming from the pack's densite. "Oh well." she thought "Just because I'm far away, doesn't mean that I can't howl with them!" She stared up at the moon and began to howl. Her howl carried all the way across the pack's territory, and many far from her heard it. It was a sad haunting tune, but the howl itself was beautiful and it was strong. She let her beautiful voice soar up and she took a step forward into the moonlight. Anyone that had seen her would have stopped dead in their tracks. She looked like an angel, the moonlight making her gold fur gleam white-gold. Her head was lifted up high and, uncommonly, her eyes were open as she stared into the night sky, making them glint and gleam as if stars themselves had been placed inside her to be revealed through her eyes. Her ears were flat against her head as she howled, as they usually were. She brought her song to a close and closed her eyes blissfully, content to just be there with the moon shining on fur soft fur, and everything being at peace. Eventually, she opened her eyes and curled up on the floor. She remembered once, when she had had her first howl with her parents and littermates, and her father and mother had told her that she had a voice of an angel and that they were proud she was their daughter, voice or not. She had felt as if her world was perfect. And her family had died the next day. All thoughts of blissfullness forgotten, she put her head on her paws and wept.

The next day, Seraph started to pad back to the Udo packsite. She should see if their were any new wolves that needed help or something.
